Our Story

It hasn’t been easy being students for the last 5 years.

As international students, we arrived in the UK just before Freshers’ Week with high hopes. Life was supposed to be a dream. However, the reality of independent living struck us quickly:

  • Where can I find affordable kitchen supplies?
  • How do I carry them all to my accommodation?
  • Why is it so hard to find everything in one place?

Such questions lived in our heads rent-free for the first week of our new life, pushing Freshers' Week to the back burner.

Then came the pandemic, which shut down retail stores and eliminated part-time jobs. We had to make do with what we had, often cooking meals with just a single pan.

'We’re definitely ready now!' we said with great confidence as we began our final year. But just as we thought we had everything figured out, the cost-of-living crisis hit, forcing us to prioritise affordability over quality.

Cooking is Shukurullokhon’s way to unwind, reflecting the same dedication and attention to detail that he applies to his business.

Shukurullo Nurmatov

An international graduate from the University of Plymouth with extensive experience in UK higher education. He has mentored countless international students, provided career consultations, recruited students through agents, and navigated the challenges of student life himself.
